Scott Wells

Scott has over 20 years of leadership experience and has spent the last 15 years helping grow healthcare organizations. Prior to joining Star Dental Partners, Scott led development at U.S. Dermatology Partners and helped grow the company to the largest physician dermatology group in the U.S. He also helped grow Coordinated Home Health Care and advised on numerous M&A transactions while at Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. Scott has worked with numerous private equity firms, over 400 physicians, and with companies with annual revenue of over $250 million. He served in the U.S. Army, including a deployment to Iraq, graduated from Southern Methodist University, and received his MBA from Columbia Business School. Scott and his wife live in Dallas, enjoy traveling, cooking, and spending time with their friends and family.
Tyler Fairleigh
Director of Business Development
Tyler has nearly a decade of M&A and international experience working with middle-market businesses across a variety of industries. As a former Investment Banker, Tyler played a key role in providing strategy development and due diligence for mergers and acquisitions (M&A), capital formation, and transaction advisory assignments where he successfully advised on numerous transactions. He graduated from the University of Alabama and received his MSF from Southern Methodist University. Tyler lives in Tampa, where he enjoys paddleboarding, playing pickleball and spending time with his wife and daughter.
Milo McCausland
Director of Business Development
Former Investment Banker and Corporate Development advisor to middle market, founder owned businesses, private equity portfolio companies, and publicly traded companies, Milo has successfully led transformative Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and recapitalizations ranging in size and structure across multiple industries. Milo has spent his 10+ year career working with business owners, executives, and entrepreneurs on executing business strategies and transactions with meaningful outcomes. He received an MBA from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business School, and an undergraduate business degree from Tulane University. Milo lives in Maryland, where he enjoys hiking, grilling, watching Baltimore’s sports teams, and spending time with his wife and two daughters.
Jose D. Ortiz
Director of Business Development
Former advisor to fortune 500 companies in the Pharmaceutical and Medical Device industries, Jose has successfully lead transformative Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) as well as Joint Venture (JV) projects. Prior to M&A, Jose held leadership roles in commercial banking (with BB&T and Georgia Banking Company), providing project financing and guidance to both business owners as well as operators. He received an MBA from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School, and an undergraduate business degree from Guilford College. Jose lives in Atlanta, Georgia where he enjoys competing in local tennis leagues and staying active outdoors.
Rob Perry
Director of Business Development
Rob has over 10 years of experience in healthcare strategy and business development, the last several of which working in practice acquisitions and joint ventures. Rob has experience in many healthcare specialties, including orthopedic surgery, primary care, mental/behavioral health, and dentistry. He has many connections in the dental space that are focused on practice growth and partnership. Rob received his MBA from Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management, and an undergraduate degree in finance from Brigham Young University.
