Job Title: Full-Time Dentist (Locum Tenens, Temporary Dentist), Southside San Antonio TX

Company Overview: At Sunrise Family Dental of San Antonio, Texas, we provide comprehensive dental care for your entire family. From preventative and general services to oral surgery and orthodontics, we've got you covered. Our practice is conveniently located right off I-35 on SW Military Dr. We welcome walk-ins and offer same-day dental treatments for emergencies. We aim to ensure a pleasant experience for each of our patients by providing specialized care in a central location.

Job Summary: Sunrise Family Dental is seeking a Full-Time Dentist to join our Southside San Antonio practice as a Temporary Provider (Locum Tenens) with the option to convert to a permanent employee. This role involves leading the practice solo and delivering high-quality dental care to our diverse patient base.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive dental care, including fillings, crowns, bridges, partials, dentures, extractions, root canals, and clear aligners.

• Manage a patient load of 20-25 patients per day, includes hygiene

• Collaborate with office staff to ensure a seamless patient experience

• Utilize digital x-rays, intraoral scanners, and new endodontic systems

Requirements:

• DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school

• Valid Texas dental license

• Proficiency in general dentistry practices

• Lives locally to the San Antonio area

• Strong communication skills and ability to work with a diverse patient population

• High preference for candidates who are bilingual in English and Spanish

Schedule:

• Full-Time ,3- 4 days per week (Monday-Thursday) from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

• Assignment dates: March 1, 2025, ongoing

Practice Information:

• Location: 1402 SW Military Drive, San Antonio, TX 78221

• Operatories: 6

• Patient ages: 90% Adult, 10% Pediatric, with a high percentage of geriatric patients

• Practice management software: Eaglesoft

• Payer mix: PPO and Fee for Service

Office Staff:

• Excellent team including an Office Manager, Front Office Associate, Dental Assistant, and a Dental Hygienist

Qualifications

• DDS/DMD degree from accredited dental school or residency program
• Active Texas dental license
• Active Federal DEA and applicable certifications
• 4-5 plus years of professional clinical experience
• Temporary Locum Tenens candidates must maintain Independent Contractor Status including:
  • maintain own malpractice insurance policy
  • complete W-9 for tax purposes
